Mechanical Contract Supervisor

TXM Recruit are currently working with a leading M&E company that offers comprehensive electrical and mechanical design, installation, and maintenance services across many sectors. Due to growth of the business, we are in search for an experienced Mechanical Contract Supervisor to assist with the delivery of their social housing/local authority Walsall contract.

This role is a permanent position, Monday to Friday and will be based predominantly on site but will also require the Mechanical Contracts Supervisor to go to the office. The salary for this role is £40k with a package that will be discussed with the relevant candidates.

The Mechanical Contract Supervisor duties include (although not limited to) -

* Supervision and leadership of the labour on site (plumbers and gas engineers) and the site supervisor on their social housing and local authority contracts

* Ensuring site safety is maintained.

* Overseeing productivity of the Sub-Contractors and directly employed Staff.

* Keeping up with their own workload and productivity on site and in the office.

* Quality control

* Site surveys when required.

* Solving issues that arise on site in a calm and measured way.

* Walking around the jobs and identifying rectification works if required.

* Reporting directly to the contract manager.

* Build and maintain a good working relationship with the client and merchants.

* Attend monthly client meetings.

The Mechanical Contract Supervisor has specific areas of responsibility (although not limited to) -

* Keeping in communication with the Contracts Manager / office Staff and client.

* The Mechanical Contract Supervisor will assign tasks to the Directly Employed Staff and Sub-Contractors, along with discussing all stages of work with the Contracts Manager.

* Maintaining work standards on site.

* Prioritising work to ensure smooth delivery of works

Mechanical Contract Supervisor Requirements -

* Must have experience managing teams of plumbers and gas engineers

* Previous experience of social housing is essential and must hold an ACS qualification

* Full UK Driving License.

* SMSTS (would be advantageous).

* IT Literate including an understanding of Excel.

* Good communication and people skills
