Mechanical Construction Supervisor (Fabrication)

Our client are a very renonwed Engineering/Construction company delivering their services around the world.  They are looking for a Mechanical Construction Supervisor to report to the Project Manager at Grangemouth.  

Nitty Gritty:

• Contract for 1 year


• Candidate will have NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in fabrication/welding and fabrication


• Background in working as a fabricator/welder is essential


• Preferred experience in tankage


• Basic Computer knowledge and Microsoft Office packages


• ECITB or equivalent Supervisory Management Qualification/Demonstrable Experience


• Good Communicator


• Experience working in Gas/Oil plants


• Excellent pay offered

Supervisor team members

Ensure work is being carried out in a timely fashion

Ensure safe working and full compliance

Carry out safety audits

Ensure full compliance to Risk Assessment

Be fully aware of all job packs, procedures and specifications relating to the work in hand

Ensure work is carried out to drawings and specifications

Ensure daily allocation sheets are correctly completed

Ensure permits, materials, tools and equipment prior to commencement of work

Review and update job packs and technical information where required

Identify/Rectif rework situations to Project Manager

Build and accept permits when required on behalf of trade teams

Undertake trade work as required
