Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical and Electrical Technician - Ground Support Equipment to join them on a permanent basis. The timely servicing and rectification of any occurring faults are an important part of the role, working in a team whose job it is to keep both military and civilian assets supplied with the right ground support equipment at the right time.
Role: Mechanical and Electrical Technician - Group Support Equipment
Location: Ruislip, Middlesex
Hours: Full Time / Permanent
Salary: Discussed Upon Application
Clearance required: The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role
What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out general tasks in support of the aircraft
  • Carrying out the servicing and full maintenance of equipment
  • Refuelling and maintenance activities in support of the aircraft
  • Full management of serviceable equipment and lighting
  • Enable the smooth functioning of RAF Northolt, in accordance with RAF and Company safety standards, practices and procedures.


Experience required:

  • Skilled in the use of all tools associated with mechanical maintenance
  • An analytical mind, able to diagnose and rectify faults
  • The ability to follow work and maintenance instructions to a high standard
  • Performance driven individual who demonstrates initiative and adaptability
  • Good organisational skills; ability to prioritise

Qualifications required:

  • Trained Electro / Mechanical Technician to at least City and Guild 381/382/383 qualifications in Heavy Vehicle / Plant Equipment or equivalent, or timed served
  • Normal colour perception graded as CP2 (needed to work on an airfield) - can be obtained at an opticians
  • Full Manual UK driving licence
