Mechanical Analysis Engineer Bolton Up to �38k

Progressive Engineering and an Engineering Leader in Heavy Engineered Systems for Regulated Industries are looking to recruit a Mechanical Analysis Engineer for their Bolton Site, owing to succession planning and project workload for (Apply online only)+.

Based in Bolton and reporting into the Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer, the Mechanical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for providing accurate evaluation of mechanical systems, components, and structures, through the use of analytical techniques and tools.

Working in conjunction with Mechanical Design & Sales Teams, the Mechanical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for advising on the theoretical performance of Heavy Engineered Static products to specification, via analysis / calculation output.

In addition, the Mechanical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Produce hand calculations and FEA analysis to delivery against project requirements e.g., mechanical, structural, thermal, fatigue, acoustic, shock and blast.
  • Responsible for self-checking calculations prior to release to Engineering Department checker(s)
  • Correct use of calculation standards on all projects to deliver theoretical assurance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiative
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure designs/ models/ drawings developed accurately reflect
  • the theoretical analysis and advising on modifications

Qualification & Experience Required for Mechanical Analysis Engineer role:

  • HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering etc)
  • Ability to generate hand and FEA / Software-based calculations (Mechanical, Structural, Thermal, Fatigue, Shock & Blas) in accordance with common design standards (e.g. British standards & Eurocodes).
  • Understanding of load paths, failure modes, and operating limits of steel structures/ components.
  • Ideally has an understanding of steel plate manufacturing principals and constraints, including laser cutting, weld limitations and press machinery.
  • Ability to write reports and specifications.

For the successful Mechanical Analysis Engineer , a salary of up to �38k + Package (including Pension, 25 days holiday, Company Sickness Scheme, Life Assurance & Medicash Scheme) is on offer and this Mechanical Analysis Engineer role is commutable from Bolton, Preston, Manchester, Wigan, Leigh, Bury, Blackburn, Chorley, Darwen, Ramsbottom, Atherton, Standish, Prestwich, Farnworth, Middleton, Heywood, Horwich & Westhoughton, Rawtenstall and Bamber Bridge.

In addition, this client also works a condensed working week Monday to Thursday.
