Job Title: MCR Engineer Location: North LondonRate: £300pd Outside IR35Contract Duration: 6-12 MonthsCompany: [Broadcast & Media Service Provider]Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MCR (Master Control Room) Engineer to join a dynamic team on a 6-12 months contract basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with uplinks and downlinks in a fast-paced, ad-hoc environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our broadcast and media services, contributing to our reputation for delivering high-quality content to our audience.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and Manage Broadcast Operations:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Master Control Room.Ensure the continuous and uninterrupted transmission of broadcast signals.Manage and monitor multiple uplinks and downlinks, ensuring optimal signal quality.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide immediate technical support for any transmission issues.Diagnose and resolve problems related to signal quality and broadcast equipment.Perform routine maintenance and updates on broadcast systems and equipment.Coordination and Communication:Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth broadcast operations.Communicate effectively with content providers, satellite operators, and other stakeholders.Respond swiftly to ad-hoc broadcast requirements and changes.Compliance and Quality Control:Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of broadcast quality.Keep detailed records of broadcast activities, incidents, and resolutions.Qualifications and Experience:Technical Expertise:Extensive experience in a Master Control Room environment.In-depth knowledge of uplink and downlink technologies and operations.Proficiency with broadcast equipment, signal monitoring, and transmission systems.Skills and Abilities:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Professional Experience:Proven track record of working in a broadcast and media service provider.Experience with ad-hoc broadcast operations and managing live events.Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in broadcast technology.Educational Requirements:A degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Relevant certifications in broadcast technology and operations are a plus.JBRP1_UKTJ
