Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MCR (Master Control Room) Engineer to join a dynamic team on a 6-12 months contract basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with uplinks and downlinks in a fast-paced, ad-hoc environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our broadcast and media services, contributing to our reputation for delivering high-quality content to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and Manage Broadcast Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Master Control Room.
Ensure the continuous and uninterrupted transmission of broadcast signals.
Manage and monitor multiple uplinks and downlinks, ensuring optimal signal quality.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide immediate technical support for any transmission issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems related to signal quality and broadcast equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on broadcast systems and equipment.

Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth broadcast operations.
Communicate effectively with content providers, satellite operators, and other stakeholders.
Respond swiftly to ad-hoc broadcast requirements and changes.

Compliance and Quality Control:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of broadcast quality.
Keep detailed records of broadcast activities, incidents, and resolutions.

Qualifications and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience in a Master Control Room environment.
In-depth knowledge of uplink and downlink technologies and operations.
Proficiency with broadcast equipment, signal monitoring, and transmission systems.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Professional Experience:
Proven track record of working in a broadcast and media service provider.
Experience with ad-hoc broadcast operations and managing live events.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in broadcast technology.

Educational Requirements:
A degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications in broadcast technology and operations are a plus.
