Role: Maths Tutor

Location: Bury

Qualiteach is looking for a maths tutor to deliver tutoring sessions at a mainstream secondary school in Bury.  The role will start on 15/04/2024 and is offered on a part-time basis - 9am - 12 pm from 3 to 5 days per week depending upon availability.

The role will involve tutoring secondary age pupils at KS3 & KS4 on both a 1-1 and small group basis.  You will need to be proficient in maths and confident and capable at tutoring students up to GCSE level.  You will need to be able to quickly and effectively engage and build rapport with these pupils.

The role would suit and existing maths teacher or tutor looking for flexible, part-time work or a maths graduate looking to gain experience within the education sector.

Key Requirements:

• Able to tutor students in maths up to GCSE level


• Have a passion for maths


• Hold a degree in maths or higher


• Able to work with pupils on a 1-1 and small group basis


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to quickly build rapport


• Available from 15/04/2024 and able to work from 9am - 12pm


• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to process one
