Are you passionate about helping students succeed in Mathematics? Do you have experience working with learners facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Maths Tutor to join this Independent School.



Position:�Part-Time Maths Tutor

Location:�Lewisham

Hours:�10-20 hours

Salary:�Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:




  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in mathematics up to GCSE level.

  • Develop personalised learning plans tailored to the individual needs of students.

  • Utilise creative teaching strategies to engage students and promote understanding of mathematical concepts.

  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure student success and well-being.



Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Previous experience working as a tutor or teacher, particularly with students facing SEMH challenges.

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE mathematics curriculum.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students in overcoming obstacles.
