Position Overview:

The college based in the heart of Victoria is seeking a dynamic and passionate Sessional Mathematics Lecturer to join their esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective instruction in mathematics courses to undergraduate students. Responsibilities:




  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials for mathematics courses.

  • Conduct engaging lectures, facilitate class discussions, and provide hands-on demonstrations to enhance student understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success.

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, exams, and other assessments to promote student learning and development.

  • Utilise innovative teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance the learning experience and meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment of course content and assessments with program objectives and standards.

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and curriculum development initiatives as required.



Qualifications:




  • QTS/QTLS/Level 5

  • Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated expertise in mathematics, with a strong foundation in core areas such as calculus, algebra, statistics, and discrete mathematics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment that values diversity and promotes student success.

  • Proficiency in utilising educational technologies and instructional resources to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Dedication to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current trends and best practices in mathematics education.
