Maths Intervention - Crewe

We are recruiting Maths graduates for a 'Good' secondary school in Crewe, to join them helping students in intervention classes for Maths at key stages 3 & 4 from April, on an ongoing , full-time basis, for the full academic year. This role has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings. As well as helping students in small groups to progress their Maths ability, this may also include helping in lessons themselves. You will need to adapt your teaching to the students in front of you by helping them understand difficult aspects of Maths.

The students at this school are keen to concentrate and work hard in their lesson, as they settle down to work quickly. The students' movement around the school quickly and in an orderly fashion, resulting in a calm environment which is ideal for learning.

The role will be perfect for a recent graduate that wants to share their knowledge with the younger generation and may have an interest to becoming a teacher in the future.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated with a good classification (2:2).
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference).
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided).
  • Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided).
  • Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional children related references.
