Expires on January 1, 2023 About the roleMaterials Planner – Leicester – £27,000 – £29,000 – Sunday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00Futures have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Materials Planner to join a leading, global, billion £ food manufacture who are well-known in the market for their great tasting products!The company will invest in the development of this role, equipping you with the key skills for the present and ensuring you have a fulfilling, long term career.You will be responsible for:– Ensuring materials are available to meet demand, through effective ordering and inventory control processes– Liaising with a variety of internal and external parties, including suppliers and hauliers to ensure high levels of service are maintained both efficiently and cost effectively– NPD activity likely to affect future demand is to be reviewed weekly– Maintenance and upkeep of static data in Excel stock boards and other systems used to schedule materials– Identify and resolve day to day issues. Taking each case on its own merit, communicate and escalate effectively to both internal and external parties to ensure satisfactory conclusions– Represent department at internal and external meetings as required. Report to team as necessary with key actions and updates. Feed back to meeting stakeholders with action updates as appropriateKnowledge, Experience and Skills Required:– Strong experience of planning and scheduling– Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office based programmes– Experience of food manufacture– Highly organised and able to work autonomously– Strong administration skills– Ability to react and deal with short notice situations– Ability to prioritise and organise against specific timescales effectively even when under pressure– Good communication skills (verbal, written and reporting)– Problem solving with external parties/cross functional teams– Remain calm under pressure and flexible– Experience of SAP advantageous but not essential– Good knowledge of materialsCopyright 2022 Futures - All Rights Reserved.
