Materials ManagerLocation: LondonPay Rate: £25.00 per hour PAYE / £32.86 per hour UmbrellaContract Duration: On-goingSiemens Rolling Stock are currently recruiting for a Materials Manager to join their Temple Mills depot in London. You will manage the flow of materials, equipment, goods, supplies and control the materials planning function for projects in conjunction with related procurement activities. You will also provide procurement support for the designated fleet by ensuring that materials are of the required standard and are available at the production facility to meet the requirements of the maintenance operations.What are your responsibilities?Review daily stock shortage, stock levels across the various warehouses and queries raised by the Customer and by the Warehouse TeamAttend daily Team Meeting and Production MeetingManage the New Stock Introduction Process in conjunction with Project Technical Team and ProcurementLiaise with Project Team and Customer to achieve optimized deliveries on timeWork with suppliers, including third party logistics providers to ensure projects and modification programs are planned and delivered to scheduleProvide a proactive procurement support service to the designated fleet for engineered parts, facilities, all goods and services in accordance with company proceduresEnsure materials of the required standards are available at the production facility to meet the requirement of the maintenance operationWork with the designated Fleet Engineering / Technical representatives to assist in coordination with investigative efforts; root cause and corrective action on all repairable product, in particular warranty-failed productsTake a proactive role in addressing Non-Conforming Materials and repair work with the suppliers (Supply chain) to ensure that preventive measures are pursuedEngage with the suppliers and liaise with systems experts to agree product reliability improvement and obsolescence solutions What Qualifications and experience do you need?At least 5 years of experience in rail materials (preferred), stores management or engineering positionDetailed knowledge of materials and stores management procedures and warranty processGood knowledge of IT systems and softwareCIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply preferredProject Management experience would be preferred If this role is of interest please hit APPLY NOW, or alternatively you can call (phone number removed).Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants
