Job Title: Materials Management Specialist

Location: Hortonwood, Telford

Salary: �33,000 per annum plus a 8.33% annual bonus.

Benefits:

Annual Bonus: 8.33% of basic annual salary
Pension: 8% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution
Life Assurance: 4 times basic annual salary
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
37.5 hours per week
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 2:00 pm
Opportunity to work from home: Maximum 2 days per week

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Materials Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and logistical operations to ensure efficient flow of materials within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize material procurement processes
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet production demands
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure quality and reliability
Coordinate with production and logistics teams to streamline material flow and minimize disruptions
Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and optimize resource utilization
Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience in materials management or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control, and logistics
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
