Materials Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Materials Engineer, to work on behalf of our London based client, an international offshore energy contractor. This is an ongoing contract role, with an immediate start date.
Our client is looking for a Senior Material Engineer to join their existing busy team, working on a new offshore floating wind project. Candidates should have at least 8 years relevant experience within the offshore oil & gas/offshore renewable energy sectors, including design experience in materials.
Job Specification:
- Degree qualified engineer with design experience in materials.
- Capable of supporting the project team in bids, FEED and projects stages in the definition of the most effective and competitive solutions for design materials and manufacturing as per client and international specifications.
- Provide technical support to construction/installation teams relevant to all aspects of metallic materials.
- Support procurement in technical bid evaluation, review vendors documents and communicate with client.
- Knowledge of welding and corrosion is desirable.
