Material Planner

If so, our client, a machinery manufacturer based in Leicester, is recruiting for a Material Planner for their site. The role will involve procuring fabrication materials, negotiating with vendors, and evaluating quotes to support site strategy.Material PlannerPermanentSalary dependent on experienceMonday – FridayLeicesterMaterial PlannerJob DescriptionWorking closely with operations to plan and organize tasks effectively.Monitoring purchase orders & net demand schedules to ensure required ‘need dates’ are achieved.Reviewing purchase requests using MRP or manual requisitions and monitoring purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and senior management.Managing supplier relationships to drive cost reductions, maintain quality, and ensure timely delivery, while also handling tasks such as invoice queries, inventory management, and tender management.Material PlannerEssential Experience/Skills/QualificationsPrior experience in a procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of and prior experience with MRP/ERP systems.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.Material PlannerCompany BenefitsPension contributionsEmployee assistance programPlease apply below if this role is of interest!
