Material Controller

Manpower Cambridge are looking for Material Controller for a National Business in Stowmarket.

As a Material Controller, your primary role will contain the following responsibilities

Carrying out material controller administration activities:

Primary purpose of this job is being responsible for managing raw material inventory and safe storage within site storage space.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Previous warehousing environment experience.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing process, Inventory Management and differentiated stock strategies and control
• Excellent IT and numeracy skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Team working and problem solving
• Ability to deliver results in a challenging environment

Desirable

• Previous SAP experience
• Previous supply management, S&OP

General Knowledge and Awareness:

Essential

• Demonstrate awareness and engagement of cross functional teams to deliver improvements.
• Awareness of customer needs balanced with cost effective production.
• Willingness to learn and share new practices
• Effectively liaise with Customers, Community and other company's visitors.

Desirable

• Business and Financial awareness including supply chain.
• Knowledge of paint manufacturing processes, procedures and policies

Additional expectations of the role will also entail the following:

• Educated to GCSE (or equivalent).
• Carry out all work in line with the company Quality Policy and Principles
• Actively participating in health, safety, environmental, security, sustainability and quality risk reduction programmes.
• Maintaining an excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental systems and procedures.

The successful candidate will be entitled to 25 days of holiday plus bank holiday once permanent and will be able to work Monday - Friday.
