Ideal Recruit are looking for a Master Technician to join our client’s company in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the most reputable companies in the industry, who really look after their staff.

The Role:
The Diagnostic Master Technician will be responsible for carrying out diagnostic routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner as assigned, in accordance with dealer and factory standards. You will also need to be EV Qualified.
This role would suit an experienced Technician with the knowledge and experience to be able to identify problems and solutions promptly for your customers.
The Work shop is bright and modern, with an onsite Cafe too. They are a friendly team of experienced Technicians and Apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect customers’ vehicles/goods, prior to and on completion of service, maintenance or repair work.
Undertake diagnosis of repair requirements to vehicles.
Conduct electronic visual health checks (eVHC) on all vehicles and provide a comprehensive report with expert advice and recommendations for customers.
Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair in a safe and efficient manner to MOT and manufacturer standards.
Procure parts required to complete the work instructions.
Ensure a final inspection of all work is implemented and when requested, fully test if safety related or a customer concern.
Record accurate details of work done on Repair Order and other information required by policy and statutory procedure.
Compliance with Departmental and Company Policy, Statutory Legislation, Health and Safety, CVP
Participate in on-going training and development to ensure product and service knowledge is up to date.
Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians, where applicable.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving licence, ideally with manufacturer experience. In addition to your prior experience, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
