An exciting opportunity has come up with a leading law firm. They are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join their marketing department.
Role
As the Marketing Operations Manager you will work closely with the departments, units and sector groups across the firm. Initially you will provide leadership and manage the marketing delivery team. As you progress in the role you may also manage the tender team and the data quality team.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the BDM and BD Director to ensure all efforts are aligned
Work with fee earners and curate marketing and BD plan
Provide direction, leadership and support to your team whilst implementing strategy and ensuring the creation of high quality content.
Working with sector leads and the Content Team to create content that demonstrates our expertise in the area, as well as re-purposing content to a sector-specific audience
Encouraging and ensuring that group members are feeding into this process and sharing content to help to develop reputation and audience
Commissioning and coordinating campaigns
Conducting competitor reviews and an ongoing oversight to identify opportunities for growth or potential creation of products
Responsibilities via the management of the marketing delivery team:
Executing and commissioning others to deliver the marketing aspects of these plans to achieve successful outcomes.
Working with the others across the firm and externally to identify and publish the most effective content
Ensuring the website is an evolving and information-rich resource for clients and prospects, which prompts interactions with our teams and captures leads
Supporting the work of the Social Media and Content Manager to ensure LinkedIn in particular is a key profile raising and relationship building tool for the firm, and for the fee earners
Ensuring the Content Team reviews the effectiveness of content at achieving the required outcomes, and to recommend adaptations as a result
Working with the Technical Sales Writer and Design Manager developing and keeping up to date standard sector "brochures"
Commissioning bespoke pitch documents on request from fee earners and coordinating their delivery by the rest of the team as required.
Managing the Events team to ensure they deliver an impactful and effective series of events
Challenging the Data Quality team to produce quality data that drives decision-making
Challenging the firm's understanding of its requirements of a CRM system, and to be part of the team looking to procure and implement a new system, including a culture change program to accompany it.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills, verbal and in writing and interpersonal skills
Exceptional manager of people, able to develop, encourage, challenge and inspire those who they manage
Ability to work with and influence people at all levels
Excellent organisational skills
Strong problem solving and creative skills
Stakeholder relationship management
Good knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, video, podcasts and emerging marketing trends
Project management
Writing and production of marcomms materials
Some events management, social media management, SEO, SEM experience preferred
Communicating clearly and persuasively at a senior level
