Central Film School is a specialist film school based in Clapham, South West London, that offers BA and MA programmes, as well as a portfolio of non-accredited short courses, in filmmaking, acting and screenwriting. The school has provided students from all over the world with the fundamental skills needed to pursue a career in the screen industries.
The Marketing Officer is an exciting new role for Central Film School which will support the Marketing & Communications Manager. Working with the wider team, the Marketing Officer will be responsible for driving lead generation for the school. This will involve supporting across a range of marketing activities including content creation, social media, event marketing, advertising campaigns and market research. We’re looking for someone with creative ideas and good copywriting skills. Experience in Higher Education is not needed but you must have an interest in education and/or the creative industries. Working with the team, you'll help to raise the profile of Central Film School and promote the schools courses to both UK and international students.
Remuneration:
£25,000
Main activities and responsibilities:
Help to develop a range of marketing and promotional material in line with the school’s brand guidelines to promote courses and activities.
Develop new online content and update existing content for a range of audiences including prospective students, alumni and industry partners in a range of formats including video and photography.
Support the team in managing the school’s social media accounts, posting regular content whilst tracking and evaluating campaigns.
Source student testimonials and experiences for use in advertising materials and case studies.
Create and update presentations for use at recruitment events and conferences.
Support the Marketing team in the production of displays, posters and signage for communal areas or student events.
Assist with the coordination of new video footage and photo shoots both internally and externally.
Collate and analyse data and report on engagement.
Help to coordinate the school’s presence at recruitment events or career fairs.
Support online events such as masterclasses or recruitment events.
Help to manage the organisation of stock and material for recruitment and other events.
Qualifications & Experience:
Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in a Marketing/Business/PR/Creative Communications related discipline.
Creative with a strong eye for design.
Good knowledge and interest of social media platforms.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Good verbal and written communication.
Enthusiastic team worker with excellent interpersonal skills.
An interest in emerging marketing trends and social media/digital tools.
Good design skills, experience with Canva is a plus.
Good administrative and organisational skills.
Solid Microsoft Office skills.
Experience using a website CMS is a plus.
Experience using an email marketing platform is a plus.
An interest in PR and its role in campaigns.
An approachable, professional attitude and a willingness to offer help where necessary.
