Job DescriptionMarketing Officer (Full-time, Permanent)We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Marketing Officer to join our team at Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus. This is a full-time position and will require you to be in the Hove office at Conway Street.The Marketing Officer role will suit somebody with a background in creative marketing and communications, and demonstrable experience of working with various marketing channels. This could be anything from producing website communications and distributing newsletters, to producing press releases and working on social media and PR/marketing campaigns. A basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not essential.Responsibilities of our Marketing Officer:As a marketing officer you will play an integral role in our growing marketing team. You will support on the creation and delivery of proactive marketing and communications campaigns for both Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus, Brighton City Sightseeing and Spirit of Sussex private hire services.As Marketing Officer you will be required to:Create excellent marketing communications materials for campaigns and marketingWork directly with marketing team, the graphic designer and any third parties to develop and execute creative for targeted audiences across a variety of channelsProduce well written marketing communications plans, briefs and copySchedule and create effective eCRM campaigns, adapting your copy writing style for each our range off audiencesCreate and schedule social media content including copy, graphic design and filmPresent great marketing ideas that influence peers and colleagues, and respond to ad-hoc requests from across the organisationUpdate, monitor and analyse web content and traffic, and develop marketing communications in line with our core values of safety, inclusivity, value, environment, convenience and communityAdhere to brand guidelines and become a brand advocate while getting involved in events to help raise awareness of our brands and servicesContribute to maintaining a digital film and photo libraryPlan and deliver new service and product launches across a range of platformsShare new ideas from inside and outside of passenger transport, and use market research to help inform decision making for future campaigns and activity.What we’re looking for:Experience of experience of working in a similar Marketing and/or Communications role.Experience of working across multiple marketing channels and platforms including digital, print and online.Advanced skills in writing marketing communications copy, writing briefs and creating presentations.Excellent copy writing and proofing skills, along with an eye for good design.Good project, time and organisational skills with the ability to see multiple projects through from start to finish.Ability to use insight to support the development of first class creative and concepts for campaigns, marketing activity and materials.Ability to work alongside agencies and third parties to deliver marketing communications on time and too budget.Strong numeracy accuracy and analysis skills.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Self-motivated and flexible.Able to work quickly and productively under pressure and to deadline.Able to lead on smaller projects and collaborate with others to deliver excellent marketing communications.Basic level of design software experience, including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and / or other graphic design software.Experience with eCRM and website content management systems.Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, AdobeWhat we are offering:Starting salary: Negotiable and dependent on experience.Great employee benefits, including free bus travel for you and a family member and a train pass valid on all GTR routes for just £50 annually.25 days annual leave entitlementPension schemeRelevant on-the-job trainingApply now to join us as a Marketing Officer with your CV and a cover letter.Closing date: April 22nd April, 2024
