Marketing Officer

The RSC are looking for a Marketing Officer to support and implement a broad programme of marketing activity relating to our Creative Learning and Engagement department and Membership activity. This role will also provide some more general support to the Marketing Department, work collaboratively with our other Marketing Officers and, more widely, with staff across the organisation.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager (Learning and Membership), some of the main activities and responsibilities include (see the job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
Develop and implement marketing strategies which retain, increase, and diversify our membership base.
Develop and implement marketing strategies which increase and diversify audiences for our Creative Learning and Engagement activity in Stratford-upon-Avon and on tour.
Develop marketing campaigns to achieve the aims and targets set within our Audience and strategic plans.
Create marketing materials, including emails, print, website, and advertising.
Develop content for activity, including images and video.
To content manage pages on RSC website and liaise with the RSC Content Manager to create new content as appropriate.
To develop and monitor social media and digital campaign plans, working closely with our agencies and the Social Media Manager.
Produce, analyse, and report on sales data for Creative Learning and Engagement and Membership activities.
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
2-3 years' experience working in marketing as part of a team
Excellent copywriting, presentation, and communication skills
Good copywriting and creation skills
The ability to use a range of marketing tools, both offline and online
A keen eye for detail
Good relationship management skills
Some experience of managing budgets
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems to create campaigns
You will be part of a small, busy team that makes a huge impact through the work that they produce; this role covers a broad range of work which will give the post holder the opportunity to be involved and exposed to many aspects of marketing. An interest in live arts, entertainment and/or education and learning are helpful for this role.
This opportunity is offered as a full time, permanent contract, based in the RSC's offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, the working hours are Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend working required. The RSC has a commitment to supporting flexible working arrangements, which can include regular remote working in a hybrid way or working hours to suit your needs, although a level of attendance in the office each week is expected.
