Our client who are leading commercial law firm with an excellent reputation have a brilliant opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join an established and highly respected law firm in Leeds reporting in and working alongside the Head of Marketing.
The Marketing Manager will work with the departments, units and sector groups across the firm using the various means at their disposal:
to raise the profile of the firm across all of its regions
to build our credibility with target audiences, and
to create opportunities for BD colleagues to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, targets and influencers.
You will work with the employees to deliver unit and sector marketing and BD plans, whilst working with the Head of Marketing and the delivery team to provide direction, leadership and support on:
Implementing our content strategy
Delivery high quality initiatives including events to raise profile and build lasting, strong relationships.
Collating and sharing client and market insights.
Developing a consistent and quality client experience
Contributing to the cross-selling initiatives across the firm This is a generalist, multifaceted marketing role, getting involved in a wide range of activities working with units and sector groups from across the firm.
Working closely with the Business Development Manager / Business Development Director to ensure a coordinated and joined up approach to driving growth within each of the units and sector groups.
Playing an active role within the sector group and unit meetings
Taking the lead in considering the most appropriate marketing tactics to achieve the group's goals and developing and agreeing tactical plans off the back of this.
Working closely with the BD team to assist in identifying key targets and creating campaigns to generate leads.
Considering the most appropriate audience for the group and working with the Data Quality team to ensure the available data is of a quantity and quality to support plans.
Working with sector leads and the Content Team to create content that demonstrates our expertise in the area, as well as re-purposing content to a sector-specific audience.
Encouraging and ensuring that group members are feeding into this process and sharing content to help to develop reputation and audience.
Commissioning and coordinating campaigns to be delivered by our internal teams, and to work as required with external agencies.
Representing the voice of the fee earner and the voice of the client / target in marketing team discussions.
Helping to build on the buyer personas for each of the sector groups to bring colour and insights to their development, and to ensure their consistent use by the rest of the team.
Conducting competitor reviews and an ongoing oversight to identify opportunities for growth or potential creation of products.
Experience
Worked in similar experienced marketing position within a professional services environment.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and in writing and interpersonal skills
Exceptional manager of people, able to develop, encourage, challenge and inspire those who they manage.
Ability to work with and influence people at all levels.
Considerable organisational skills, able to balance a wide range of priorities, and to delegate effectively.
Strong problem solving and creative skills.
Can develop positive and consultative relationships (internally and externally) quickly, and gain the respect of others for their contributions.
Highly IT proficient – in particular Microsoft Office applications
Good knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, video, podcasts and emerging marketing trends
