Exciting opportunity for a smart consumer marketer to join a highly successful business supplying innovative products for motorcycling and cycling to the consumer market. A passion for 2 wheels and/or some experience in the cycling or motor sports industry would be a bonus in this busy and challenging role.
Hybrid working – 3 days/week office, 2 days/week remote.
A solid background in consumer goods/FMCG is essential for this new and exciting role with this leading specialist brand, loved by riders and racers from pro to leisure, who need to keep their equipment in top condition and ready to go. With a huge range of lubricants, sprays, apparel, cleaning & maintenance products and equipment, available via specialist retailers and direct-to-consumer - products made by riders, for riders – our client is now expanding rapidly into international markets, building a presence in new territories and sectors.
Reporting into the Global Marketing Director, the Bicycle Marketing Manager is responsible for building the global marketing plan, identifying key strategic priorities, and owning its development and delivery in the market, supported by a team of brand managers.
Key Responsibilities & Challenges
Working with the Global Marketing Director to help develop a cohesive global bicycle marketing plan in line with key business objectives and strategic and tactical needs.
Day-to-day responsibility for developing and managing core portfolio marketing campaigns and new product launches, using a range of media channels including digital, PR, sponsorship and events.
Leading a team of high performing brand managers, and ensuring all campaigns and activity are on-brief and delivered to the right audiences.
Managing a range of high-profile athletes and team sponsorships, ensuring key deliverables and ROI are maximised and every opportunity is taken to leverage the relationships.
Working cross functionally to run both on and off-line marketing activities, executing engaging campaigns to support new product launches, product campaigns and athlete/team sponsorships.
Defining KPIs and corresponding metrics, reporting on performance to relevant stakeholders.
Continuously analysing industry trends and using internal consumer data to make recommendations for performance improvement and key product marketing initiatives.

Key skills/experience includes:
Hands-on experience working in a dynamic consumer goods environment.
Proven experience of developing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns and the ability to craft compelling consumer stories that drive interest in the brand.
Ideally a 2-wheel fanatic who keeps up with the latest in the cycling or motorcycle industry, and almost certainly a keen rider.
Positive energy and an ability to bring people with you, managing a small, but highly engaged team.
A positive ‘glass half full’ outlook with a good attention to detail and getting the job done.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to create clear and compelling proposals and analysis that ensures buy in from people across the business.
Ability to challenge the status quo and push for what you believe in.
On occasion, a willingness to travel to and work at key cycling and biking events.
Proven ability to work independently at pace in a high pressure, fast growth environment.
