The world’s largest wine competition, over 18,000 wines enter the Decanter World Wine Awards yearly and Decanter’s UK-focused Retailer Awards attract entries from across the nation. What you will be doing... As a marketing executive you will support the Senior Marketing Manager and Deputy Head of Marketing across UK and overseas Decanter events which includes, (but not limited to) Decanter World Wine Awards, Decanter Retailer Awards, Fine Wine Encounters, Decanter Masterclasses/Tastings and Decanter’s international presence at trade fairs and events.You will work closely with all of Decanter’s departments including design, sales, editorial and logistics to achieve marketing objectives. From content marketing to email campaigns, stand design, social, website updates, reporting and more, this is a dynamic role to assist the marketing team across many facets of Decanter’s events and awards. Experience that will put you ahead of the curve… Any experience within the wine sector is preferred but not essential.Marketing - understanding of how to execute some elements of 360 marketing plans for our face to face Awards & exhibitions, including email campaigns, partnerships, PPC, sales material, website build and management, external advertising, ATL, social media, advertising, print and digital campaigns, sales campaigns and PR.Analytical - work with Deputy HOM and Senior Marketing Manager to develop understanding of how to track ROI and make recommendations for future campaigns.Research and Development - analyse and interpret the research available post event to identify opportunities for improvement. Use research to support NPD as directed by line manager.An understanding of digital channels and their opportunities from an events perspective, how do we generate an audience.
