Basic = GBP 65,000 + 20% Annual Bonus (Total = GBP 78,000)
Role Summary:
As the Marketing Director, you will be leading the essential lead generation (ExProm / VisProm), and ensuring the central use of our CRM by the commercial department, as well as developing and executing a winning strategy to promote our B2B events and enhance our brand presence. You will drive a team of talented marketers and collaborate closely with other departments to achieve our business objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.
Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team of 5 people, setting clear goals and expectations.
Drive brand awareness and recognition in the B2B events industry.
Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including : Email Marketing, Social Media, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Website, In-house registration platform UI/UX, CRM, Database, PR, Partnerships (Associations…), Sales Enablement (Collateral…), Content, Onsite Signage, digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and traditional marketing channels.
Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competition to identify opportunities and threats.
Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, promotional materials, and content to support event marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the commercial department to develop marketing programs that generate sales leads and drive attendee registration.
Manage the marketing budget effectively and allocate resources efficiently.
Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
Build and maintain relationships with media partners, sponsors, and industry influencers.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing best practices.
Requirement and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience (at least 8-10 years) in marketing roles, with increasing responsibility, with at least 2 years in the exhibitions/events industry.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams (at least 3 years) remotely.
Process and data driven to put processes in place and adjust them depending on data results.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
Creative thinker with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Native/ bilingual proficiency in English
Familiarity with the retail and logistics industries is a plus.
High speed cable internet access in a quiet workspace
Open and eligible to global travel several weeks per year
