Salary: £50,000 per annum



Overall Purpose Scope:

As the Marketing Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the marketing strategy for the Croydon College Group. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the College's brand identity, increasing student enrolment, and elevating its reputation within the local and wider community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:






  1. Develop Annual Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the Executive team to formulate an annual marketing strategy aligned with organizational objectives.

  2. PR Management: Oversee College PR activities conducted through external suppliers, aimed at strengthening the College's reputation and fostering relationships with key stakeholders such as schools and employers.

  3. Implement Marketing Operational Plan: Create and execute a marketing operational plan with measurable KPIs linked to application numbers, utilizing various tools such as marketing analytics, online recruitment platforms, live chat, and stakeholder surveys.

  4. Segmented Marketing Campaigns: Devise and implement segmented marketing campaigns targeting different customer groups (e.g., full-time, part-time, higher education, apprenticeships) to drive recruitment, engagement, and conversion, ultimately achieving enrolment targets.

  5. Lead Recruitment Campaigns and Events: Take charge of major College recruitment campaigns and events including Summer Campaigns, Open Days, UCAS events, HE Events, and Apprenticeship events.

  6. Digital Media Management: Utilize various digital media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., to enhance awareness, engagement, and the overall profile of the College as a leading educational institution in Croydon and neighboring areas.

  7. Performance Reporting: Provide comprehensive monthly reports analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns, events, and activities against predefined objectives. Identify key learnings and propose actionable insights for improvement.

  8. Competitor Analysis and Local Influence: Conduct weekly competitor analysis and monitor local influencing activities, providing regular updates and insights to the Executive team to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.



Requirements:








  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies within the education sector.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.

  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
