The Market Manager leverages their experience in procurement, e-commerce, revenue management and the hotel/travel/hospitality industry, generally, in order to manage lastminute.com’s hotel market and market partnership-related functions.Additionally, the Market Manager is expected to identify trends, optimize pricing, ensure content competitiveness and identify and secure potential sources of supply to satisfy consumer demand on lastminute.com storefronts.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild strong supplier relationships and convincingly explain the strategic benefits of the lastminute.com products to grow bookings, revenues and gross profit in assigned marketsEvaluate existing partnerships and determine actions to optimize performanceExecute and track both acquisition and account management activitiesRecommend and execute strategies and promotional activities with hotel partners to maximize lastminute.com accommodation availability and content competitivenessDecide on promotional campaigns and conditions/criteria for participationIdentify, prioritize, negotiate, contract and onboard non-participatory hotels, ensuring favorable terms and conditionsConduct ongoing reviews of production with participating hotels and continually present strategic recommendations using a consultative approach to optimize hotel conversion and assist partner hotels in maximizing their revenue via lastminute.com productsFormulate project ideas, determine where opportunity exists and implement new approachesNegotiate and evaluate costs of running feature marketing campaigns for hotel propertiesIdentify regional supply requirements in terms of product offerings and promotions to meet market demandsIdentify, qualify, contact, counsel, and visit key accommodation suppliers to grow lastminute.com’s portfolioMaintain knowledge of key events in assigned markets and their impact on hotel availabilityResearch and troubleshoot rate and availability issues preventing hotels from maximizing booking performance; e.g., problems with connectivity, rate mapping, extranet management, etc.Manage listings for new suppliers and renewals with existing partnersManage and improve upon internal team operation processesTrain and inform hotel partners on lastminute.com technologies, tools and modelsCreate business case to facilitate new product creation or enhancements of existing technology, reporting and toolsUse out-of-the-box thinking to develop and implement solutions to unique challengesConduct market researchPrepare presentations and materialsManage regular weekly/monthly supplier reportsConduct local and/or national training (e.g., account management techniques, best practices, specific areas of business).QualificationsExcellent command of English and French, both written and spokenBachelor’s degree in any relevant field or equivalent experienceAt least five years of experience in sales, e-commerce and/or revenue management, highly preferred within hotel, travel or hospitality industry (especially OTA channels)Travel industry contacts within relevant destination and market is a plusStrong interpersonal skills and ability to influence external/internal stakeholdersAbility to research, prepare and communicate various proposals to potential and current hotel partnersSuccess in acquiring, building and maintaining long-term customer relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft office and PC applicationsStrong problem-solving, analysis, and planning skillsAdapts well to – and is energised by – changing and dynamic workplace and industryPossesses creative and innovative instincts and the ability to translate ideas into realityThrives as a team player demonstrates a strong work ethic.Additional InformationWhat we offerBy joining our company, you will have the chance to:Join a dynamic team in an inclusive-international environmentGrow thanks to the career journey and our internal mobility perspectiveManage your own schedule thanks to the flexible start and end of the working dayWork a shorter working week (36h), of which 4 hours on Friday morningGet focus time for learning, development and deep work on Friday morningsWork partially or fully remote according to local lawsEnjoy continuous training thanks to our company platformBenefit from employee discounts on travelReceive 2 days off per year for the purpose of volunteeringGet free snacks / fruit / hot drinks / water / beverages at our officesParticipate in amazing winter and summer corporate events
