Our people are the heart of Takeda.For Takeda UK we are looking for aMarket Access Manager Rare Diseasesin a permanent position/ full time at the Paddington location.The Market Access Manager will develop high quality HTA submission dossiers for Takeda’s new medicines and lead related HTA activities to maximize Market Access under the leadership of the National Market Access Manager. The person is a professional ambassador for Takeda, building key strategic relationships throughout the payer community and with national related bodies including Government, to enable effective partnering and influencing at a national/regional level.Your tasks in detail:Initiate and maintain contact with all identified horizon scanning groups (including NHSC, MPC, UKMi, LNDG, MTRAC, AWMSG, SMC Horizon Scanning, HSE Ireland).Understand the information needs of each group(s) and ensure that these needs are met; organize and attend meetings with each group either to give an update on the pipeline or to present on specific product.Develop, in conjunction with the relevant project team, outcome scenarios for all HTA product specific projects and lead option analysis and decision making.Contribute to the development of high quality HTA submission dossiers for Takeda’s new medicines. The level of involvement may vary depending on the medicine and the HTA body but will be as requested by the Market Access & Pricing Director.Map the influencing networks within and between horizon scanning and HTA organizations in a particular geographyLead non-therapy-based consultations including the writing of responses.Attend public meetings and conferences and feed back key points into the company.Assist the National Market Access Manager in developing the optimum pricing strategy for Takeda’s products in the UK, subject to EUCAN/global approval.Feed in the requirements/needs of all identified groups, payers and pharmacists into all marketing groups and ensure that the data and materials produced meets these requirements/needs.Organize, attend, and present at Advisory Board meetings (including HTA Advisory Boards, Payer Advisory Board, Clinician/Nurse Advisory Boards).Understand government priorities which have the potential to impact on market access. To include a monitoring brief for the development of new policies and/or changes to current policies.Be prepared to educate in-house staff (including the sales force, marketing and international colleagues) on market access issues and organizations.Monitor changes to and the development of Voluntary Scheme for branded medicines pricing, access and growth (VPAG) and highlight potential implications on the Takeda portfolio.Your profile: Educated to degree level with a life sciences degree (i.e. Pharmacist) or postgraduate qualification in health economics or equivalent.Years experience of working in a specialist care field, i.e. Rare Diseases.Good level of clinical knowledge is desired.Understanding of NHS and decision processes involved in bringing drugs to the market and to prescribers.Knowledge of horizon scanning and HTA organizations and other key external stakeholder bodies and pricing mechanisms in the UKProficient user of Microsoft Office suite (Project /Outlook / Excel / PowerPoint / Word)High level of personal organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers.Capable of taking a proactive approach and using own initiativeAbility to operate independently and collaboration and team working skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent presentation skillsWhat you can look forward to with us:Appreciative working atmosphere in an international and exciting working environment with a wide range of development opportunitiesIndependent work with the opportunity to play a part in shaping an innovative companyProfessional and personal development opportunitiesEmpowering our people to shineAt Takeda, we earn the trust of society and our customers through our values of Takeda-ism: Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, Perseverance.
