Job DescriptionReady to join the UK's leading family owned engine maintenance team where you can build on the 35 years of trading and be part of the continued success?Working from impressive facilities in Colchester and Aberdeen and representing OEMs MTU, MAN, Baudouin and Geislinger we are at the leading edge of engineering and need to add to our committed, enthusiastic and friendly team to help us maintain the high standards our customers expect.Dealing with high and medium speed engines old and new, across oil and gas, marine and land based applications means you should relish the excitement (and sometimes challenges) that this mix brings.Role Description: The Marine & Onshore Manager is responsible for looking after and developing the marine and onshore client base, reporting into the Commercial Manager. This will include commercial and project delivery responsibilities, driving business growth. The Marine & Onshore Manager will have a Project Manager and Key Account Manager reporting into them.The Marine & Onshore Manager is expected to:Build relationships with client base.Look at opportunities to grow services and introduce new clients.Ensure work scopes are completed successfully within company procedures.Develop and support the work scope SOPs process.Work with Workshop Managers to meet project expectations and communicate deviations with end users, providing ideas to bring back on track.Ensure all systems are followed, including documentation, use of Sage and CRM Look for opportunities to improve gross profits.Carryout Non-Conformity Report investigations, organising rectification and prevention actions.Ensure a safe working environment by leading by example on the implementation of Health and Safety policies, systems, procedures, and legislations.Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety.Constantly reviewing and developing internal processes to improve performance.Role Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Ensure Marine & Onshore jobs are completed on time and on-budget delivery with no rectification work required.Complete vendor documentationPrepare work scope proposal documentation with Key Account Manager and Commercial Manager.Provide short-, medium- and long-term forecasts for job completion, profitability and resource requirements Promote a positive H&S culture to improve process and promote accountability.Ensure resources, materials, and equipment is available to successfully complete current and future work scopes.Ensure correct documentation is raised and completed timely for all work scopes. Oversee all costs are recorded, accurate and visible. Provide progress reports on jobs to the Commercial Manager and any other interested parties, quickly communicating delays or concerns. Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls.Work with team to respond to client’s requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate.To comply with BME processes and procedures.Develop operational procedures that will identify and reduce hazards in the workplace.Regularly inspect the work area to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
