P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Marine Logistics Coordinator join their team based in Diss on a full-time, permanent basis.



Do you have experience in marine operations or logistics coordination? 



Our client is looking for a Marine Logistics Co-ordinator to join their busy UK based Operations Team.  The role involves the organisation, scheduling and management of operations worldwide.  The successful candidate will be organised, confident in dealing with clients and suppliers, able to thrive in a fast paced Team environment with strong problem solving skills.  Must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK.



Main Responsibilities:




  • Operational safety, efficiency and management of company operations.

  • Continuous improvement in all aspects of marine operations.

  • Provide support to key projects from feasibility stage to project start-up and, if required, ongoing management.

  • Continually drive improvements in our processes, systems and equipment.

  • Maintain own areas of Company management systems as required.

  • Client liaison and relationship development.

  • Marketing of services.

  • Control base costs and put forward proposals to the Operations Manager to drive improvements to reduce cost whilst maintaining or improving safety.

  • Management of client enquiries using Company systems in accordance with Operational Flowcharts and the Company Purchasing Policy.

Person Specification:




  • Team player.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive and driven.

  • Strong IT skills.

  • Marine experience or knowledge of operations would be preferable.





Working Hours & Benefits:




  • Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (1 hour for lunch)

  • Starting salary of £25k - £35k (Determined by the level of experience).

  • Out of hours work to participate in an on-call rota system, to ensure operational coverage is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • Some national and international may be required.

  • Flexible working – option to work from home 1 day per week.

  • 28 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
