Marine Legislation and Compliance Specialist Marine Legislation and Compliance SpecialistA career at CMB.TECH means joining one of the world's first developers and integrators of hydrogen solutions, focusing on engineering, hydrogen infrastructure, industrial, on-road, off-road, and marine applications.To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Marine Legislation and Compliance Specialist.You will report to the Chief Engineer - Marine.You must have a UK work visa or permit to apply for this vacancy.Job title: Marine Legislation and Compliance SpecialistWork type: Full Time - PermanentWhat are we looking for?Support the Marine team through the product certification process to interpret and comply with various global hydrogen and marine standards, including but not limited to engine and hydrogen fuel storage and delivery system approvals.Maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards and applicable rules, monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on dual fuel engine and hydrogen system approvals.Act as an interface for external parties (e.g. Classification Societies) to exchange testing and witnessing requirements and cascade requirements to the engineering and calibration teams.Oversee multiple complex schedules, setting priorities for internal teams.Advice company management of the legislation/compliance project statuses on a regular basis.Developing new project legislation approval, e.g. spearheading underdeck storage concepts, new engines, in-service inspection requirements, etc.Coordinate the efforts of the engineering and production departments to ensure programs are conducted in accordance with the safety standard requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into the development process.Coordinate prototype certification testing to qualify new designs/systems.Ensure compliance to safety analysis including DFMEA, HAZID, HAZOP, HAT and SAT.Supply ongoing training to the engineering teams, acting as a resource and mentor for technical guidance.Independently anticipate potential schedule delays and initiate plans for alternative actions as needed; able to rearrange competing priorities to ensure all deadlines are met.Work professionally and cooperatively in a cross-functional team environment with a focus upon maximising system safety, performance and customer satisfaction.Represent CMB.TECH in a professional manner in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assigned.What do you bring?Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field of study.Minimum of five years relevant engineering experience with minimum three years of managerial experience in product certification or plan approval.Experience in any of the following is preferred and highly valued:• Classification society/Plan Approval• Hydrogen and/or fuel cells• Oil and Gas, CNG, LNG, etc.Experience in advocacy and engagement with regulatory agencies is a plus.Ability to travel occasionally, up to 20% of the time.Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and OutlookExceptional organisational skillsDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.Must be driven and self-motivated and excellent follow through.Our offerWe offer you an exciting and challenging position within a stable and ambitious company with a family corporate culture.
