The Opportunity

The team are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Claims Technician to join their esteemed team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in managing the entire claims lifecycle, with a specific focus on Marine Hull claims and associated marine risks. This role demands a professional who can independently handle a caseload and deliver exceptional results for both direct and reinsurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

* Claims Management: Efficiently manage a diverse caseload of Marine Hull claims from inception to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

* Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and support on marine claims matters.

* Risk Assessment: Evaluate and analyse marine risks associated with claims to determine coverage and liability.

* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all claims activities, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

* Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, adjusters, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth claims processing and resolution.

* Compliance: Ensure all claims handling activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

* Experience: Ideally 2-5 years’ experience as a Marine Claims Technician, with a strong focus on Marine Hull claims.

* Expertise: In-depth knowledge of marine insurance principles, claims procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.

* Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex claims effectively.

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues globally.

* Organization: Strong organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

* Adaptability: Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
