The location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

The salary: £39,000 - £48,000 DEO

The opportunity:

We have a range of roles available from Test Operators to Principal Test Engineers and everything in between. If you have qualifications and experience in electronic/electrical testing, we invite you to submit your CV.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Running automated test site (Operator)
Performing manual test (Operator/Technician)
Proofreading test instructions (Technicians)
Authoring test instructions (Engineers)
Diagnosing product faults (Engineers)
Integrating new products into manufacturing (Principal Engineers)

Essential skills we're looking for:

Qualifications in a STEM subject and/or an apprenticeship are preferred. Since each role has different requirements, please ensure your qualifications are clearly listed on your CV and covering letter.
Experience with both manual and automated test equipment is required.
A strong grasp of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles, along with proficiency in operating test equipment, is essential.
Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to discern the appropriate mode for different contexts, is crucial.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen attention to detail, are essential attributes for this role.

Depending on your role:

Understanding fault diagnosis techniques for electronic and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies is essential.
Proficiency in enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g., SAP, MES) for recording test activities, as well as generating non- conformance reports and concessions, is advantageous.
Demonstrated capability to plan and organise one's own work effectively, ensuring the prioritisation and timely delivery of multiple tasks aligned with project objectives.
Proficiency in crafting test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports derived from higher-level requirements is preferred.

Due to the nature of the business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant as a minimum to be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship and capable of achieving the clearance levels mentioned above
