Manufacturing Test Opportunities
A leading player in the defense industry, our esteemed client, a highly regarded organisation, is expanding its Manufacturing Test team. With a strong commitment to supporting the Armed Forces, they collaborate with governments to uphold national security.
The Opportunity : Due to significant business growth, our client anticipates numerous openings in the Manufacturing Test team within Operations and Engineering over the next year. Positions vary from Test Operators to Principal Test Engineers, covering a broad spectrum of roles.
Key Responsibilities :
• Executing automated test procedures (Operator)
• Conducting manual tests (Operator/Technician)
• Reviewing test instructions (Technicians)
• Developing test instructions (Engineers)
• Identifying product faults (Engineers)
• Integrating new products into manufacturing (Principal Engineers)
Requirements :
Essential :
• STEM qualifications and/or apprenticeship background
• Proficiency in both manual and automated test equipment
• Solid understanding of electrical/electronic measurement principles and test equipment
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
Role-Dependent :
• Knowledge of fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g., SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating reports
• Ability to plan and organize work, ensuring tasks align with project objectives
• Experience in creating test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports based on higher-level requirements.
Salary : £39,000 - £48,000 (Depending on role and experience)
