Are you ready to 'window' down the competition and 'door' into a new opportunity? We're on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team and help us 'pane' the way to success in the windows and doors manufacturing industry!

As a Manufacturing Manager, you'll be the 'architect' of our manufacturing projects, 'unlocking' the potential for process improvement, and 'hinging' our commercial growth on your expertise. You'll have the opportunity to mentor a team of engineers and work with cutting-edge technologies specific to our industry.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and oversee complex manufacturing projects from development to implementation.
  • Work closely with Production Engineering to plan manufacturing processes, estimate resources, and ensure efficient production planning.
  • Bid for new work, manage turnover and headcount in line with company strategies.
  • Forecast capacity and capability, integrating new technologies to enhance production.
  • Provide mentorship and support to less experienced engineers, including conducting appraisals and giving clear instructions.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, manage budgets, adhere to schedules, and maintain high quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct engineering reviews and continuously seek ways to improve processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Manufacturing or Production Manager role.
  • In-depth knowledge of design, manufacturing, and production procedures, including familiarity with machines, tools, and techniques used in the manufacturing process.
  • Proficiency in 6 Sigma, 5S, and Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using various tools and methodologies.
  • Line management experience with the ability to mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a hands-on background.
