Manufacturing Engineer
I'm on the lookout for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a highly reputable and long established company within the Yeovil area. The role of the Manufacturing�Engineer is to implement�new and improve existing production lines and processes in order to maximise efficiency's. You will be tasked to design, setup and develop these processes utilising�lean principles to optimise productivity.�

The�client is owned by a globally recognised�powerhouse, collectively they employ over 100,000 globally. As the Manufacturing Engineer there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and grow within the business too.�
Manufacturing Engineer Role:�
  • To assist the Technician team in determining the correct TPM activities and schedules.
  • To design, setup and develop production lines / processes utilising lean principles to optimise cell productivity.
  • Review existing production Cells and implement changes to improve labour utilisation.
  • Provide solutions / improvements to address HSE issues
  • Provide support to the manufacturing Cells and drive continuous improvement through RCA.
  • Provide technical / Process support to Engineering Technicians in support of RCA.
  • To ensure that all new or modified processes, equipment and materials are introduced and used in accordance with UK Health and Safety regulations and Company Procedures.
  • Ensuring timely completion of Kaizen ideas
  • Be a key driver in our safety first culture
The successful�Manufacturing Engineer:�
  • Ideally Degree Educated and/or Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering related support or suitable discipline.
  • Proven Experience in managing projects is essential.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt qualification (or practical application) is desirable.
  • Hands on practical Engineering skills�
  • Demonstrable RCA problem solving skills.
