Our client, incorporating assemblies, are a supplier of sheet-metal, flat or formed components and assemblies. They pride themselves on always pleasing their clients with on time delivery, high quality and a world class client relationship service.



Formed in 1990, they have over 30 years’ experience delivering high quality sheet-metal and assembled components to be a wide range of mostly UK based clients.  They offer a full range of tactical and strategic solutions; including fast track and AOG requirements.



Historically focused on the aerospace industry, their disciplined manufacturing techniques and rigorous information management processes enable them to support other highly regulated industries. They are a AS9100 Rev D approved supplier of components requiring special processes, they are also SC21 accredited and hold a vast range of quality approvals.



They currently employ 46 people that includes Directors, Managers, skilled operators, a team of skilled inspectors and back office support staff.



They are currently recruiting for a Permanent Manufacturing Engineer:



Mon-Friday, contracted hours 41.50 per week, generally an early finish on a Friday and flexible working is available. With the ability to accrue an extra days holiday each month. 25 days holiday + bank holiday.

We are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer to join our high performing, client focused team at our aerospace sheet metal and assembly manufacturing facility located in Dukinfield (Cheshire).



About the opportunity



The Manufacturing Engineer role is an exciting, fast faced and challenging role where a wide range of sheet metal and engineering skills are required to determine how we are going to manufacture customer requirements through our in-house processes. Your main responsibilities will include:




  • Generating detailed operational routings for sheet metal and assemblies translating the requirements from ‘make to print [client] drawings’, tooling and specifications to best suit Hyde Details capability / method of manufacture.

  • Assist in the resolution of internal technique issues arising from the routings

  • Attend internal or external start up meeting for NPI (new product introduction)

  • Take part in MRB meetings to contribute to the investigation of NRCs where engineering input is needed



You will build on your industry/manufacturing knowledge and experience, keeping up to date with best practice and participate in internal and external training.



Key Skills




  • An excellent understanding of sheet metal and assembly aerospace processes and specification

  • Experience of creating routings from client issued drawing

  • A good understanding of scheduling / MRP systems

  • High level of resilience, confidence and professionalism

  • Outstanding communications skills are imperative

  • Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.

  • A proactive approach to pleasing clients, managing delivery risks

  • IT literate, in particular SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Commercially and strategically aware

  • The ability to work flexible hours should the business need arise.
