Position:  Manufacturing Engineer

Job:  Permanent

Location:  Torquay 

Hours of work:  Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Friday 8.30 - 4.00pm

Salary:  Competitive DOE

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer  to join our clients team in Torquay.

The successful candidate will  be working as part of a multifunctional team, continuously improving manufacturing methods, tooling, fixture, and process flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, Support and work within Health and Safety regulations, Company Quality and Environmental systems of work, and all other company policies and procedures

Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contract personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity

Leads the development of new processes/machines, improvement projects

Responsible for specification or the support of, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment (CAPEX)

Perform the roles and responsibilities within the NPI process

Evaluates existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements

Manages the testing an replacement of consumables

Drives implementation of LEAN and CI practices across the organisation

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

Strong experience of working within manufacturing engineering teams within a NPI environment

Experience in problem solving techniques

Flexible approach to meet deadlines

Attention to detail and understanding of the business environment

Experience of lean manufacturing and six sigma
