My client is a UK based engineering company specialising in the manufacture of turbochargers and specialist machinery used in the turbocharger industry. They are now on the lookout for a Manual Machinist to join their team based in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities – Manual Machinist

• Setting and Operating manual machines – milling & turning
• Reading engineering drawings
• Selecting the appropriate materials for each job
• Maintaining the machinery within the workshop
• Working with various types of materials such mild and stainless steel

Qualifications & Experience – Manual Machinist

• Manual machining experience especially milling & turning
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Experience inspecting parts using micrometers/verniers
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to produce parts in a variety of different materials; mild steel,
