Manual Machinist

Contek are currrently working with a family-run Engineering client, based in Birmingham, West Midlands. They are a smaller company who have been operating for over ten years, and specialise in manufacturing bespoke parts for various industries.
Our client are looking for an experienced Manual Turner to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. They are open to applicants with many years experience or new machinists, who have completed an apprenticeship and are looking to expand their skillset. 
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:30 - 17:00) & Friday (08:30 - 16:00)
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manual machining using a range of machines, including Colchester, DSG, and Herbert lathes.


• Working from detailed engineering drawings.


• Working within a small team.


• Self-inspection of parts.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on a manual lathe is required.


• The ability to work from engineering drawings is required.


• The ability to work within a small, family-run team is required.


• Positive attitude towards the role.
