This gives us a strong purpose and strong working culture thats going ultra low emission and focuses on cargo bikes with a large fleet and mid sized team with ambitious plans to expand to multiple citiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced hub manager manager to deliver a high quality, efficient and cost effective depot whilst managing a team of dedicated staff of riders and mechanicsJob DescriptionWe will be recruiting for an Oxford Hub Manager with the intention of bringing new ideas, experience and help our team and business to achieve ever-greater heights byleading and inspiring from the front. Could this be you? This role will be based at our Depot in Oxford, OX2 0EXAs the Hub manager you will be given the autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day management of the depot from dispatching and controlling duties and organizing the couriers rotas, to supporting the team and managing HR issues. The intention is to bring on an assistant manager to support the hub manager as the depot grows furtherYou’ll have responsibility for;Achieving Depot/per courier KPIs and targets Responsible for organizing the rota, approving holidays and managing sickness (include willingness to do delivery runs in all weathers)Objectives in terms of Health & Safety, security, productivity, Fleet Maintenance Deliver outstanding service to our customers/clients with a team driven to be the best they can beProvide the safest and healthiest welfare environment in which your teams workEncourage a circle of safety, investing time, energy and training into every employee and conduct appraisals Manage the Depot through Profit &Lossthrough effective planning and reportingHire and train new couriers and following up with support, improving on our existing training plans QualificationsWhat we’re looking forYou’ll know the logistics, courier or distribution industry and have experience of running medium, fast paced, 24/7 operationsResponsibility for small to medium sized team of 20-50 peopleYou will be a confident communicator/presenter with the skills to lead and manage teams as well as influence strategy and liaise with our Directors/CEOA person capable of decisive and effective decision-making, in a time pressured environmentA passion for motivating and being part of a purpose driven businessSomeone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.Additional InformationJob SpecificsYou will have a comprehensive induction to Pedal & Post, this will mean completing all our basic and advanced cargo bike training courses and being able to complete any delivery route if required and understand how each delivery route operates. Everyone rides is a key part of the role. After it will include both a Managerial induction followed by software introduction and dispatching / controllingOur depots operates 6 days a week (excludes Sundays) therefore you will be required to cover any 5 shifts, which could include weekend working.A full UK driving license
is essential (this is due to us moving into the electric vehicle space)RemunerationYour package will include a basic salary with large potential for it to increase with the depots expansion. Use of company vehicles, bonus scheme, based on individual KPI’s company targets as well as this you have access to some other great perks with local business’s in Oxford
