IT MANAGER required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis located in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to IT Directorate
Lead full stack IT teams including business and technical applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity supporting three sites and 1,700+ users.
Align IT department activities and projects with these strategic themes:
Manage risk to enhance Groupement Berkine (GB) IT data and system availability and integrity.
Identify and execute opportunities to improve organizational and individual efficiency.
Deliver new IT services to improve GB performance.
Manage ITs activities and projects to ensure that strategic objectives are met.
Prepare and monitor contracts for services, supplies and IT equipment, including working with procurement and finance functions to ensure payments.
Develop and update applicable standards and procedures.
Identify resource needs (human, material) and develop plans/budgets to remove and reduce departmental and organizational roadblocks
Ensure the availability and integrity of IT systems and GB data.
Manage IT resources for the successful delivery and maturation of impactful projects such as:
ERP Modernization (SAP S/4HANA).
Cybersecurity risk management and reduction.
Business continuity planning and disaster recovery preparation and testing.
HBNSD data center relocation
HPC virtual desktop infrastructure deployment and implementation
Service desk modernization
Digital Oilfield expansion to HBNS
Well Integrity Management System implementation
Work with site Chief SVCS IT to develop objectives, monitor and undertake corrective actions to continuously improve the performance of IT activities and teams and results.
Evaluate, develop, and consolidate recommendations for technological roadmaps.
Prepare budget forecasts and monitor and report on results.
Develop and/or monitor reporting to track activities and project management results.
Identify the training needs for staff in collaboration with the HR teams.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Degreed Engineer in Computer Science or related field (Information Systems, Electrical Engineering Telecommunications) or higher.
Beneficial Additional Training/Skills: Management & Leadership Training, Project Management
This position is intended for professionals with at least 3 years of prior management experience.
Eight (08) years of experience in the field of IT or Telecoms.
Good knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business (back office) applications.
Basic knowledge of upstream oilfield processes.
Good knowledge of the overall information system, infrastructure, and applications.
Ability to manage in a multicultural and mixed language (English, French, Arabic) environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required).
