Seymour John is partnering with a high performing and profitable UK entity of an international group based in Newbury. In this role you will work closely with the CFO and act as a business partner to the wider key stakeholders across the company and the wider group.
My client is open minded to hybrid working with a maximum of 2 days per week working from home once you are settled into the role. Albeit during month end, it is expected you will be in the office.
In this role you will play active role in the day to day running of the finance team and help the CFO to drive a culture of continuous improvement and integrity.
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments
Preparation of management reporting packs and KPIs.
Weekly / monthly P&L accounting to contribution level, encompassing variance reporting, analysis and investigation.
Assist with the preparation of year end statutory accounts.
Acting as a contact for internal and external audits.
Provide a variety of cost analysis – e.g. direct and indirect labour, material usage, overhead analysis by cost centre.
Working with the Costing Estimator to understand standard costing and bill of materials maintenance.
Gross margin reports and analysis.
Key person in budgeting and forecasting preparation working with cost centre managers to providing meaningful prediction.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Stock controlling, e.g. stock provisions and stock takes
Capital expenditure appraisals and project tracking
Oversight of purchase and sales ledgers and credit control activities
Improving controls, systems, reporting and process
Partnering with Operational functions to support cost reduction activities
My client is open minded to candidates who are qualified, qualified by experience or part qualified. To be considered for this role it is essential that you have acted at a similar level and can demonstrate a strong track record of achievements. This coupled with a strong data mindset and willingness to take ownership for the numbers and enabling key stakeholders to make better commercial decisions. You will ideally have experience of working with ERP systems ie SAP or Dynamics 365 along with a confident ability using Excel.
