This role is pivotal in operational finance, collaborating closely with the finance team to bolster contract support and enhance overall business performance within a dynamic, service-oriented environment. The Management Accountant will forge strong partnerships with operational teams, ensuring the financial close process is robust and that resulting management information informs decision-making, thereby optimizing performance.
This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday), based predominantly at the Stevenage site. We offer a compelling package, including study support and a competitive salary.
Qualifications & Experience
Part Qualified Accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Finance Director in steering the financial agenda and collaborate with the Group Manager to produce and comprehend high-quality financial insights.
Provide necessary support in crafting financial and commercial information and analyses to facilitate business transformation and enhancement.
Maintain accurate schedules for the contract, illustrating actual versus agreed client budgets and elucidating key variances.
Spearhead periodic financial reviews at the site level, contributing insights to the Group Manager and overarching leadership.
Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of operational, financial, commercial, and legal facets of the formal contract within the designated area.
Offer support in business and client discussions by presenting financial and commercial options, particularly in response to potential contractual modifications.
Proactively assess, manage, and advise on commercial opportunities and risks.
Monitor the impact of pricing adjustments on the Profit & Loss statement.
Prepare essential balance sheet reconciliations pertinent to the contract.
Collaborate with the Finance Director to comprehend and refine forecast assumptions.
Oversee the invoicing process for the location, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Administer capital expenditure within the contract framework, obtaining necessary approvals and conducting value-for-money assessments and return on investment analyses.
Leverage financial systems to facilitate accurate accounting and reporting.
Provide support for IPOS Data Analysis.
Generate client financial reports as required.
