Overview of the role
As a result of the company’s recent growth, a new Management Accountant role has been created within the Group Finance team on a permanent basis. We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated part-qualified accountant to join our team. The role will be based in our Head office in Bracknell, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
As a talented Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the timeliness and accuracy of our financial reporting whilst delivering exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders. The role will collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders to support process efficiencies and drive best practice, whilst taking ownership of balance sheet accounts and regular analytical reviews.
Key duties
Preparation of monthly management accounts across our group companies, with supporting balance sheet reconciliations and detailed variance analysis;
Assist with the acquisition and finance integration of newly purchased companies;
Support the Finance Manager with preparing annual statutory accounts across the group and taking a lead role in managing external audit requests;
Assist with external reporting requests and the management of key stakeholders including shareholders, banks, auditors, and other professional services providers;
Lead and support with the design and implementation of robust and efficient financial controls alongside key improvement initiatives to enhance management reporting;
Maintain appropriate documentation of finance processes and accounting policies to ensure compliance with internal controls;
Support with other ad hoc projects such as the design and testing of a new finance system.
Personal attributes
Part- Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
A strong and proactive team player adopting a can-do and flexible attitude
Experience with the preparation of financial statements an advantage
Ability to prioritise workloads and great attention to detail
Friendly and approachable manner
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Strong Excel skills and systems experience
