A newly created Management Accountant role working for a FTSE 250 listed property company in a busy, vibrant part of London. Working in a small finance team, where everyone plays a hands on role and opportunities are exciting and varied! £75,000 + attractive pension and bonus Property and real estate experience is an essential requirement.• Build strong, open relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the finance function delivers robust, timely financial data for decision making• To manage the end to end Net Rental Income process including the production of quarterly NRI statements for the portfolio, ensuring that the results are accurate, timely and correctly reflect the prevailing accounting standards and Group accounting policies.• Produce quarterly variance analysis, highlighting the reasons behind all material variances in rental income and expenses to budget, forecast and prior year, as part of the quarterly reporting timetable.• Assist in the annual Budget process and quarterly re-forecasting; focus on property cost management and reporting• Drafting of approval papers reflecting the impact of new lettings, renewals, reviews and costs on NRI, highlighting instances where a new letting may not be in the best interests of the company or any increased risk profile.• Perform covenant reviews for prospective and current tenants as requested• Prepare quarterly accounting journals including bad debt provision and turnover accrual.• Closely monitor and report on non recoverable costs such as marketing spend, estate management costs and voids costs against budget and forecast. Ensure appropriate items are invoiced / accrued on a timely basis.• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations on a half-yearly basis. Includes monitoring allocated accounts and resolving issues on a timely basis, and providing appropriate supporting documentation• Liaise with Financial Reporting team to ensure that all major financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounts• Liaison with Group internal and external auditors resolving matters in a timely and efficient mannerRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
