If you have an appetite for more, this could be the role for you.We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our office-based Finance Team at our Spalding SiteReporting to the Site Accountant, as a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting and financial control over the company's SG&A cost base, including weekly and monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, the role will support central financial control and compliance activities covering the wider business, including GRNI management and SOX compliance.This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and effective financial control throughout the business.You will be responsible for and required to undertake the following duties:Assist in the preparation of month end filesAnalyse data, investigating & reporting on anomaliesInvolved in budgeting & reforecasting processBusiness Partner to central budget holdersPrepare monthly journalsSupport in checking Site monthly submissions are SOX compliantSupport central monitoring and validation of site level controlsComplete detailed balance sheet reconciliationsOversee annual asset verification processInvestigate central GRNI liaising with stakeholders to close outSupport in the role out any initiatives to the sitesFollow lean thinking principles and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.Apply problem solving techniques to resolve problems and recommend improvements to maintain costs at a planned levelProvide an excellent customer service by building strong relationships at all levels of the businessContinually developing own skills through attending Company trainingTo communicate at all levels sharing information, knowledge, instructions, advice, support and understandingAssume overall responsibility for the safety of self, whilst at work ensuring that all requirements as trained and laid down within the Company handbook, Company Health and Safety and Hygiene policies are adhered toTo carry out other duties that may reasonably be requested of you to ensure the efficient running of the businessKnowledge, Skills, Experience:Good communication skillsStrong grasp of basic accounting concepts and financial controlHealth and Safety AwarenessFood Safety AwarenessExperience with accounting software, ideally SAPStrong Excel SkillsExperience/QualificationsAAT qualified and studying towards further professional qualification such as SEMAAdvanced excel skills with experience of financial modellingExperience of operating in a business partner model, working with others to create positive business outcomesExcellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of business stakeholders in the translation and understanding of financial informationAble to work independentlyGood attention to detail, approachable, with experience of coaching othersThe CompanyPilgrim's Pride Limited is a division of Pilgrim's Pride Corporation, our business is part of the second largest food company in the world, whose team farm, process, prepare, package and deliver fresh, frozen and value-added food products for sale in more than 100 countries.We are proud to partner with more than 1,000 UK farmers who share our belief in the highest standards on animal welfare, efficiency, and quality.
