They have a small yet growing finance team based near to Didcot.Job DescriptionThe Management Accountant will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This role will be key in supporting the development of new and existing finance processes to meet the growing needs of the company. This position will have exposure to all areas of finance, including year end statutory work, project forecasting and system implementation.The ideal candidate will be quick to pick up new processes and show initiative. This role will be varied and challenging, providing an amazing opportunity for a part qualified finance professional.ResponsibilitiesFinance Operations Development:Working with the wider finance team to help implement improvements to financial systems and processes including those which impact on the wider businessTake ownership of critical month end tasks such as revenue recognition and project cost allocation.Work with the wider finance team to develop financial systems, including involvement in the Company wide ERP system implementationSupporting the finance team with month end management reporting to holding companySupporting the finance team with managing the cashflow in relation to project income and costsProject Forecasting, Accounting and Reporting:Work with the Head of Finance to maintain the project forecasting processSupport Project Managers to prepare data and analysis for monthly financial project status reports including;Project actual spend vs budgetForecast spend to year end and over project lifetimeVariance analysis against budget and previous forecastSupport Project Managers with preparing resource analysis to better understand effort spent and identifying potential areas of risk to the projectSupport on Project auditsOther activities:Supporting finance team with year end accounts and audit process. This will include liaising with auditors for certain areas such as revenue recognitionAssistance with conversion of reported UK GAAP figures to IFRS for group consolidated reporting as requiredLiaise with external accountant to provide information for the annual Corporation Tax return and R&D claimsOther ad hoc reporting requirements requested by parent companyThe Successful ApplicantThe successful Management Accountant will have:Part qualified accounting qualification - CIMA, ACCA or ACA, hoping to qualify in the near futurePrevious experience with management accounting in industryExperience building or maintaining Excel modelsConfident in using Excel to manipulate and analyse dataEmbraces change and comfortable to challenge stakeholders in a productive and collaborative wayAbility to identify and resolve problemsExperience with general ledger functions and journal creation and entryInvolvement in the budgeting/forecasting procesWhat's on OfferOpportunity to work with a highly talented, diverse & dynamic international team with cutting edge technologyFlexible working around core hours in a friendly and supportive environmentHybrid working available25 days holiday (increasing yearly up to a maximum of 28 days) + 8 days Bank HolidayLife insurance and long-term sick payNew state of the art office and cleanroom facility Michael Page is part of the PageGroup.
