The company where you can make an impact and bring value.Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Finance professional with high integrity and energy, who is driven and self-motivated to succeed to join a growing organisation as the Management Accountant for one of our businesses based in Europe.Job Description:The PositionReporting to the Business Unit leader, this role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all financial information and reporting for the business unit as well as providing financial information, analysis and meaningful business information that will facilitate the achievement of the financial goals.The individual will be expected to be an active member of the business building relationships with senior management and operational employees.ResponsibilitiesFinance & reportingEnsure all month end, quarter end and year end transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system in accordance to Volaris policies.Prepare variance gap analysis with commentary comparing actuals to forecast.Ensure adherence to corporate finance policies & Company approval matrix.Reconciliation of control accounts.Working capital management.Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly corporate reporting on time according to internal Portfolio and Volaris deadlines.Prepare monthly management pack reporting to be issued to the business.ForecastingTake a lead role in co-ordinating with the business leadership team to produce the quarterly quarterly forecast and reporting for submission including preparation of analysis and commentary to present to senior management.VBU team memberPlay an active role as part of the team, engaging with employees across cost centres.Work with the leadership team to develop and deliver the financial plans as agreed.Produce revenue analysis and P&L monitoring, attrition, pricing analysis and performance monitoring to aid planning and forecasting.Play a key role in training and supporting all employees within the business to improve their understanding of key metrics and how these can impact the business.Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances and develop action plans to measure and analyse results.Review business performance against forecasts and agree on corrective action with the management teams.Initiative and/ or participate in ad hoc projects within the business and add value by providing financial direction.Create and implement processes to drive sustainable improvements in the efficiency of business processes and the Finance function.Evaluate operational expenditure, propose and implement suggestions to improve cost efficiencies for the business.Knowledge & SkillsWe are looking for an experienced Finance professional with high integrity and energy, who is driven and self-motivated to succeed and deliver for the business. You will have a high level of diligence, will be highly analytical, have excellent communication skills and be able to work with stakeholders across the company.Newly qualifed with relevant experience in the areas listed on the job description.Strong functional and technical knowledge of IFRS.Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results under a strict reporting schedule.Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills, comfortable interacting with and motivating people at all levels.Committed to delivering continuous improvement.Ability to recognise and solve problems as they arise.Ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of appropriate solutions.Organized and able to work under pressure with experience of working to tight deadlines.Self-driven initiative, able to instigate and manage change.An elevated level of analytical and critical thinking skills.Highly computer literate.Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage.Knowledge of Dutch financial reporting requirements would be ideal, although this will be taught, so a willingness to learn is essential.Role RequirementsThe role will be mainly based from home but will require some time in the Chorley office (minimum 1 day per week).The job holder will be required to travel (25%) to our existing offices, including quarterly visits to the Netherlands to meet with the business leadership team.
