My client is currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their Manufacturing and Engineering business in Newbury,reporting directly to the Financial Controller.At their Manufacturing facility in Newbury, Berkshire, the Engineering team design custom solutions to carry signals from High Voltage Power Supplies to some of the most advanced technologies on the planet, and even beyond.With the Semi-conductor market in higher demand than ever, our products which aid the inspection and quality assurance of the chips, are advancing with new designs and test requirements. What you'll be involved in:You will support the Financial Controller in the preparation of timely and accurate management information for Corporate and the senior Management team to enable informed commercial and strategic decision making.Key responsibilities include:
Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentaryPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolvedControlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliationsMonitoring projects for complianceAssisting with inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock countsMonitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management teamAnalysis of Sales and ordersOperational excellence reporting and control – MWC, DSO etc.Margin analysis and 80/20 quad analysisAssisting in the preparation of the weekly 80/20 reportsApproving RFQ’s and orders and working with the business team to ensure quote margins meet business plans.Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awarenessEnsuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial resultsAssisting with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
What we're looking for in you:
CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experienceExperience and understanding of Manufacturing environments, would be ideal, but not essentialExcellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior levelA continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skillsAble to work autonomously
